Vocal Practice (vocal technique workshop for rock, pop, jazz...) - SOLD OUT


(Sequel to Vocal Basics)


You have some experience with basic singing techniques and would like to gain further knowledge and practice on vocal training? During  "Vocal Practice”  you will get to deepen your knowledge on various vocal techniques and learn how to apply and integrate these into your daily singer's life.




“Vocal Practice” Toolbox: vocal exercises that help to strengthen and overcome vocal challenges; work on the sound of your voice; become conscious about your vocal and musical potential and acquire the necessary know-how to train them; tips how to develop your hearing; practical work on solo songs; the importance of rhythm in lyrics and melodic lines; create awareness of the role of a singer in different musical styles.


The workshop is hosted by Theresia Birngruber and Claire Parsons.



Practical info

When & Where: Mondays from 19h30 to 21h30, starting on 23th of April 2018 for 10 hands-on sessions at Rocklab. 


Skill level: Intermediate and advanced! (from 15 years onwards)


Price: 120.- for ten sessions

About Theresia Birngruber:


Theresia Birngruber studied Musical Studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She has been active in numerous musical projects such as the Music Theater in Linz, the Jopera - Jennersdorf Festivalsummer or the Stadttheater Bad Hall to name but a few. Besides, she collaborated with with various bands and artists and released her own CD, named “Purple Gold”.


Currently, Theresia is the Musical Director of the “All Nations Church of Luxembourg” and acts as vocal coach for the INECC and UGDA in Luxembourg.




About Claire Parsons:


Claire Parsons is a luxembourgish jazz singer of English origin. She started playing the classical piano at the age of 5 in the Conservatory of Luxembourg. Later she studied other instruments such as classical and electric guitar, jazz piano and classical vocals.

Her interest in jazz came up in 2008 in the Conservatory of Luxembourg and later in the music school of Echternach.
 She got her bachelors degree in jazz vocals at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the supervision of the internationally renowned Belgian jazz singer David Linx. She plays and composes in various bands such as Claire Parsons Quartet, Tadpole Evolution, Aishinka or Them Lights to name but a few.


Her young career allowed her to play on multiple international and national stages and festivals such as Jazz à Verviers, Brussels Jazz Marathon, Festival Zikametz in Metz, Dockville Festival in Hamburg, Rock Um Knuedler, Food For Your Senses Fesival and Sonic Visions amongst others.
