be a HEARo
Pop/Rock Concerts & Music Workshops for Kids
This year, Rocklab brings you musical edutainment at its best, with be a HEARo - Pop/Rock Concerts & Music Workshops, hosted by the X-Ray Orchestra, from 30 May to 1 June at the Club of the Rockhal.
During the guided concert listening sessions at the Club of the Rockhal, organized in partnership with the SCRIPT - Service de Coordination de la Recherche et de l'innovation pédagogiques et technologiques, and dedicated to school classes, the X-Ray Orchestra will present the audience with the key elements of pop/rock songs. Through a series of exercises, quizzes and interactive games, the listening capacities of the young ones will be tested in a playful manner. The band will perform popular and modern hits by artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, DNCE or Mark Forster.
Target audience: school classes with pupils aged 10 - 12 ("Cycles" 3.2, 4.1 & 4.2 of fundamental school)
Next to the guided concert listening sessions, Rocklab will also organize a number of workshops highlighting the same topic in a more detailed way. In order to convey a better understanding of how a pop/rock band and their instruments work, the different instrument groups will be singled out and each one will be carefully examined during a series of workshops in which school classes, Maison Relais and families can participate. During several interactive and playful group exercises, the participants will thus get a closer look at how percussion (drums), voice and stringed instruments (guitar & bass) work and what lies behind such concepts as rhythm, melody and harmony. A guided tour of the Rockhal will be included in the package.
Target audience: school classes, Maison Relais, families with children aged 08 - 12
